Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Bar & Restaurant Manager to join the team in Ballykisteen. As a key member of the management team the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the food and beverage daily operations and the delivery of excellent service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest possible standards of service in all aspects of Food and Beverage and consistently seek out ways of improving service excellence. 
  • Review and update current food service standards in the bar & restaurant outlet and to implement any new changes within a reasonable timeframe. 
  • Account for the beverage stocks, including ordering of stock, delivery, waste, sales and stock takes.

 

 Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service 

  • Provide consistent and excellent customer service at each stage of the customer’s journey.  
  • Improves customer service by communicating and assisting team members to understand customer needs, providing guidance, feedback and individual coaching. 
  • Act as a role model in advocating exceptional customer service. 
  • Take a proactive approach when dealing with customer concerns. 

 

People management:

  • Work closely with the management team to build on developing the existing departmental team. 
  • Lead, mentor, develop and train the Food & Beverage team members.
  • Provided feedback and encouragement.
  • To ensure that the Food & Beverage team are familiar with cash handling, and other control measures within the department.

 

 

Others 

  • To understand and be familiar with budget, costs and sales within your department. 
  • To comply with all health, safety and welfare statutory requirements and to ensure that all your team are fully trained in Evacuation Procedures.
  • To communication all relevant information with your team and members of the management team in a timely and clear manner.
  • To carry out Duty Management shifts as required
  • To complete all projects within the required timeframe as directed by the General Manager.

 

Experience

A proven track record of working in a busy Bar/Restaurant environment at Management level. An ambitious individual who is looking to build their career in the Hospitality Business. Customer focused and acts as a role model for both staff and colleagues in promoting the Hotels hospitality. Team leader and who inspires his/her staff and aims to develop the team. Strong on service standards and the implementation of such. In-depth knowledge of the drinks and food industry. Has a through working knowledge of Stock Takes, Stock Rotation, Ordering and Till Systems. Excellent organizational, communication and planning skills.
